Questions

Useful answers before the next click

Does creating an account give me immediate access?

No. The app specs say self-signup creates an invited membership. Access starts after payment, trialing status, or a comped/admin state.

Why do I have to sign a waiver?

If your makerspace publishes an active waiver, MakerOps requires the current version before protected shop actions like equipment booking and event registration.

Who handles my membership charges?

The makerspace is the connected merchant through Stripe Connect Express. Exact payment responsibility and refund terms must come from that makerspace's reviewed policy.

Can I book any tool?

Some tools can require a qualifying tier, certification, operating hours, or maintenance availability. The app returns specific errors when a gate blocks a booking.

Are community posts public?

The community feed is member-only in the app spec. Public showcase or tenant pages are separate surfaces and should be clearly labeled by the makerspace.
