What to avoid in public copy

Do not claim final legal, tax, security, availability, refund, PCI, or payment outcomes beyond the app docs. Use review-needed markers until the policy owner approves the text.

Money

Prices, fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and trials need review.

Security

Security pages can describe implemented controls, but customer-facing assurances need review.

Tenant-public

Each makerspace controls its own public promises, hours, prices, and policies.

Questions

Useful answers before the next click

What happens during organization signup?

MakerOps creates the organization, owner membership, Keycloak organization attachment, default tiers/zones, tenant database, and managed connection secret metadata, then redirects to Stripe Connect onboarding.

Can an admin other than the owner start Stripe Connect?

The Stripe Connect onboarding spec says owner only. This prevents an invited admin from steering billing away from the legal entity that signed up.

Can we use a custom domain?

Yes. Admins add a hostname, create the TXT verification record, then activate routing after verification. Pending domains do not route traffic.

Where should legal policies live?

Use the trust-center pages as draft templates, then have counsel and business owners review terms, privacy, DPA, waiver, refunds, payment responsibility, and acceptable-use language.

Can we export data?

Admins can export member, booking, order, and report data. Export URLs and payloads inherit the sensitivity of their records and should be handled accordingly.
